Who we are

This website is operated by Stichting Female Ventures (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a nonprofit foundation registered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Our mission is to promote an increase in the number of women in leadership positions and female entrepreneurs by organizing events, fostering connections through our online community, and promoting female leadership.

What personal data we collect and why

We only collect the information we need to serve you better, and we do so in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  1. Event and community participation
    When you register for events or the Female Friends online community (managed through ProfileGrid), we collect your name, email, and other details you choose to provide. Your profile and activities within the Female Friends platform are visible to other logged-in members.

  2. Newsletter sign-up
    If you subscribe to our newsletter via GetResponse, we collect your name, email, and information about how you interact with our emails (e.g., opens and clicks).

  3. Website analytics
    We use Google Site Kit (which includes Google Analytics and Search Console) to monitor website traffic and performance. These tools may collect anonymized usage data, including your IP address (with IP anonymization), browser type, and time spent on pages.

  4. Embedded content
    We may embed content from third-party websites such as YouTube. These platforms may collect data about your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you’re logged in to their services.

How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary:

  • Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe
  • Community members: Until your account is deleted or inactive for 2 years
  • Analytics data: Automatically expires based on Google’s standard settings (e.g., 14 months)

You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Photos and videos

Your data is stored on secure servers, some of which may be outside the EU. Where this occurs, we ensure that adequate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place to protect your data.
