For 10 years, Female Ventures has been empowering women in their professional journeys across the Netherlands. As a national, volunteer-driven foundation, strong governance is essential to everything we do.
We are now looking for a Secretary of the Board to join our Executive Board in a voluntary capacity.
The Role
This role sits at the heart of the organisation. As Secretary, you are the central point of connection between the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board, safeguarding governance integrity, decision hygiene, and continuity. You support the Chair and Executive Board members by structuring agendas, ensuring decisions are well-prepared and properly documented, and helping the organisation move forward in a transparent and disciplined way.
This role is for someone who:
- Enjoys being a trusted sparring partner and steady presence in a leadership team
- Handles confidential information with care, discretion, and sound judgement
- Is proactive and motivated to help build and professionalise a key governance role in a scaling organisation
- Combines a friendly, servant leadership style with strong structure and reliability
- Native-level Dutch speaker is a strong preference for this role
This is a senior volunteer role (2–4 hours per week) with real responsibility and influence – ideal for an experienced professional who wants to contribute meaningfully behind the scenes, where leadership and governance meet.
Practicalities
- Netherlands-based role, with regular presence at events
- Time commitment: approximately 2–4 hours per week
- Term: minimum of 2 years
