As volunteer marketing manager, you help make Female Ventures Delft and The Hague chapter more visible, recognizable, and easy to discover by the right people.
This role is about more than promoting events. You will help shape how we show up as a local community, understand what our members care about, and turn that into clear, engaging content across our channels.
You will work closely with the City Director, community managers, event team, partners, and other volunteers to build a simple but consistent marketing rhythm that supports our events, strengthens our visibility, and helps more women find and connect with our community.

What you will work on

- Develop a yearly marketing and content strategy to increase visibility, grow community engagement, and strengthen the presence of Female Ventures Delft and The Hague.
- Define key content themes, channels, and campaign moments beyond event promotion, including community stories, member spotlights, founder and career journeys, practical learning content, and relevant updates from women-in-business ecosystem.
- Plan and schedule marketing activities in the Team Up calendar, aligned with the City Director and team.

- Create, publish, and track event content across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Eventbrite, monthly newsletters, and other relevant channels.
- Create, publish, and update Eventbrite pages, making sure event information, speaker details, location, timing, and registration details are accurate and up to date.
- Promote events across the right channels and respond to incoming questions or messages about the events in a timely and clear way.
- Coordinate with partners and the community managers to collect logos, visuals, speaker details to create compelling content
- Update and create marketing assets for the events such as banners, printed materials, and other offline marketing assets, making sure they are on-brand, visually consistent, and clear for the audience.

- Write short blogs, LinkedIn posts, event updates, speaker highlights, and event recaps.
- Design simple visuals in Canva and create basic photo and video content during events.
- Ensure all marketing content and visuals follow the Female Ventures brand, tone of voice, and quality standards.
- Website content and maintenance
- Update and maintain website content, including event pages, blogs, speaker highlights, partner updates, and event recaps.
- Audience insights and reporting
- Collect input from the community managers to understand what topics, formats, and messages are most relevant for our community members
- Track basic data from social media, newsletters, Eventbrite, and community feedback to see what works.
- Share insights after events, including reach, engagement, sign-ups, and feedback with the team and community managers and suggest practical improvements for future promotion.
Availability:
- On-site for 1 monthly event
- Commitment of being a volunteer for ideally 1-2 years or more
- Weekly engagement of on average 6 hours a week
Our ideal team member
- You are reliable, curious, proactive, and enjoy creating clear and engaging content.
- You are someone who is:
- Comfortable using Canva to design simple graphics. Knowledge of CapCut or other basic video editing tools is a plus.
- Comfortable working with WordPress or willing to learn.
- Able to write clear and engaging content like social media posts, blogs, interviews, etc
- Interested in social media, community building, and storytelling.
- Good at planning and organizing.
- Able to work independently, while staying connected with the team.
- Flexible and comfortable adapting when plans change.
