[National Team] Supervisory Board Members

Female Ventures is an on- and off-line community for female professionals with 1400 members in the Netherlands.

Our non-profit foundation works with volunteers who have an intrinsic motivation to support other businesswomen in their career. We are building a cross-generation community that has value for every participant. Either through inspiration, education, mentoring, or networking, our activities have it all.

Following our aim to sustainably grow and professionalize, Female Ventures is formally introducing a Supervisory Board (Raad van Toezicht). The foundation is run by an experienced Board plus Directors for each City, Mentoring, Marketing and Partnerships teams. Additionally, there are 40+ valuable team members contributing to the success of Female Ventures’ events and initiatives. All volunteers are driven by the mission to foster gender, generation and cultural diversity in Dutch businesses and organizations’.

We are looking for 2 individuals to serve on our newly set up Supervisory Board, alongside our founder, who will also take a seat in the Supervisory Board. If you are interested to apply, we trust you recognize yourself in the following characteristics:

Strategic, Independent, Innovative and Visionary thinker bringing diverse perspectives. Cooperative, supportive, assertive team player.

Preferably experienced in and educated to serve in a Non Executive Board position. Commit to volunteer for a term of max. 3 years in a mission driven Dutch foundation. Available for a minimum of 4 meetings per year with additional hours for strategy/brainstorm meetings with the Board. Willing to start and build the new Non Executive Board which may initially require some extra time investment. More specifically, we are looking for two members who feel a fit with one of the below profiles:

One member with a Financial Profile who:

  • Focuses on the organization’s financial integrity, including reviewing financial statements
  • Monitoring internal controls, and executing the year audit process
  • Has a background in accounting, finance, auditing, risk management and ESG
  • Experience in NGOs, charity and non profit organizations’ is welcome

One member with a General Profile who:

  • Provides strategic guidance, oversight and support to the executive Board while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Brings significant experience and has competencies in Non Executive Board roles and in areas such as DEI, charity, non-profit, ESG, legal, HR, risk management, community building, (international) expansion, etc.
