    Dear all,

I am a Masters student at Maastricht University in the field of Work and Organizational Psychology. Together with two of my colleagues, we are conducting a research study about female leadership. Leadership has for a long time been seen as predominantly a male prerogative in corporate, political, and other sectors of society. Although women have gained increased access to supervisory and middle management positions, they remain quite rare as elite leaders and top executives.

As a female leader, we are contacting you to ask if you would be willing to help us with our study on female leadership and contribute to this important field of research. Participation in this research project includes taking a survey three times a day, five days in a row – starting on Monday and finishing on Friday. Each day a participant will be asked to fill in three questionnaires at three different points in time (10:00, 14:00 and 17:00). The questionnaires will take approximately five minutes to complete and each participant will have two hours to complete each one of them.

We are looking for female participants who have at least three subordinates (they do not have to be on top management positions), work full-time and speak English fluently.

All information collected during the course of the research will be kept strictly confidential and will be used for research purposes only. At any point in time a participant can withdraw from the study.

Participation in this research project is of great importance for us as you will contribute to a topic that has not been studied yet in depth.

If you would be willing to help us to find participants for this study, please respond to this email. In case you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at j.benedik@student.maastrichtuniversity.nl.

    Thank you for your time,

    Jana Benedik
