About the event

In a time where the speed of technology advancement is high and tech solutions are entering into almost every industry, it is interesting to see that women are in the forefront of a drive to change the fashion industry. New designs, new fabrics are made and recycled, smart gadgets in clothes and bags: the industry is becoming more dynamic every day. Craftmanship however is still the backbone and we have two great ladies who started their own company understanding the link between innovation and craftsmanship.

Speakers;

Our first speaker: Simone Tertoolen – she studied Industrial Design at the TU Delft and worked for TomTom before taking the brave step of designing a high tech bag which still maintains the essence of fashion and design. On 18 September she will tell us about her career, her interest in details and perfection, and her love for design. Check out her profile here and her product here.

Our second speaker: Bianca Blom – she comes from an entrepreneurial family, studied Business Economics and ultimately decided to follow her passion for shoes. After completing an artisanal shoemaking course, Bianca noticed a lack of innovative designs on the market and decided to design her own! Bianca Blom started LINJA to resolve one of her own personal frustrations. Before, in between, and after the keynotes there will be great moments to connect to each other, exchange ideas, discuss and support challenges in business. Drinks and small bites are included.

All ambitious women who want to grow (further) professionally and want to help others grow, are welcome.
