About the event

We are delighted to invite you to our  first “after summer” event that will give a platform to successful and inspiring women and men. This time we chose an exciting theme of “Robot Love” that will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence on our lives and the ethical questions and dilemmas that arise as this emerging technology rapidly evolves.

Artificial intelligence is more and more penetrating our everyday life, whether we realize it or not. This phenomenon brings economic efficiencies, improved performance, higher margins for corporations and completely new products and services that we could not have imagined in the past. At the same time, emergence of AI and robots forces us to reflect on what it means to be human. Can we for instance learn from robots about love? Many assume that they have never shared intimacy with a robot, but in fact we have been connected to machines and algorithms for quite some time already! So are robots an AI a next step in our evolution or shall we fear their increasing presence? These and other AI related dilemmas will be discussed at our next event. Stay tuned!

This event is hosted by EHV Innovation Café that takes place weekly on Thursday afternoons.

This time we  will introduce two inspirational speakers:

Ine Gevers is a founding director of the Niet Normaal INT Foundation, developing large scale triennial art exhibitions focusing on urgent matters in society. One of her latest exhibitions, Robot Love gained a significant critical acclaim and huge popularity among its visitors.

Buster Franken is a chair of FruitPunch AI, a foundation building a community that connects and educates AI engineers of the future, with a mission to apply AI for good. In his own words, Buster defines himself as homo universalis, a jack of all trades but master of one, Data science, who is passionate about making the world a better place.
