About the event

We are delighted to invite you to our third event in Eindhoven that will give a platform to successful and inspiring women. This event will be dedicated to “Climate Change & Sustainability”, one of the hottest topics in society right now.

In 2018, UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a study, which claims that we have around 12 years for global warming to be kept to a maximum of 1.5C, beyond which even half a degree will significantly worsen the risks of drought, floods, extreme heat and poverty for hundreds of millions of people. Rapid and non-compromising actions have to be taken by all members of society, including governments, corporations, non-profit organizations and regular consumers. Moreover, in order to stabilize the situation, all human-based activities need to become more sustainable and environmentally-friendly. Everybody has a role to play in this unprecedented global effort. Our inspirational speakers will tell the stories of their important contribution in the fields of climate change and sustainability, that will hopefully inspire all our participants to search for their own role in this worldwide movement.

This event is hosted by EHV Innovation Café that takes place weekly on Thursday afternoons.

This time we offer you three inspirational speakers:

Nadia Jellouli-Guachati is an architect, urbanist, design and ecosystem-thinker, who is on of the co-founders of Bio^mi, a collaborative intiative that does research on bio nano structures to develop new sustainable materials.

Vera Henricks is as a chemical engineer involved in a ground-breaking startup DENS that created a very first commercially available formic acid power generator, that produces no harmfull CO2 emissions and can be applied in many industries.

Rosalie Franssen is a project manager at Deltares, an independent institute for applied research in the field of water and subsurface. In the recent past Rosalie has been assigned to co-create climate change policy of Gemeente Eindhoven.

All ambitious women who want to grow (further) professionally and want to help others grow, are welcome. Whether you have a long track record at a large corporate, whether you are a student, an entrepreneur since long or just starting. Young, young of mind, experienced or less experienced. Men are most welcome as well :).
