New Cooperations

New Female Leaders Foundation, a Rotterdam-based initiative by Caroline Glasbergen that works on the same mission as we do; inspire, connect and support you, the female leaders of today and the future.... As Female Ventures we have a goal to work together with other initiatives that work on female empowerment and gender equality. Cooperating with New Female Leaders means we will publish the inspiring podcasts of NFL on our website, so you can easily choose, between amazing stories with Eline Leijten (founder Plugify), Maayke Aimee Damen (founder Excess Materials Exchange) Maartje Laterveer (journalist FD) and many more.

Barbara Rogoski is an American executive speaker coach and senior TEDx coach living in The Netherlands. She wants to empower women to step up and speak up – and teach them how! She is starting a unique membership program called She Speaks with Passion to share her expertise in coaching and mentoring women to reach for the microphone, reach for the stage, reach for the top! As Female Ventures we are pleased to have Barbara booked for some ‘reach for the top’ workshops. Together we will review and strengthen your pitches. About Female Ventures - A recap
|
Being already in our 3rd year of existence, we like to share some statistics with you. In Rotterdam, early 2016, the idea for Female Ventures was born. Having just finished an ambitious project of supporting the launch of Venture Cafe in Rotterdam, our initiator and founder, Dieuwke Hoogland, realized that the ‘Weekly Gatherings’ of the Cafe, were dominated by male visitors... Knowing that visiting Venture Cafe’s free meet ups are helpful and inspiring events for everyone to meet other innovators in the ecosystem, she wondered ‘Where are the women ?’
|
It was with this question that the idea for Female Ventures was born and thanks to some bright Rotterdam-based women who did visit the Cafe, Female Ventures Rotterdam was an instant success. It was followed in early 2017 with the creation of Female Ventures Delft/the Hague, followed by Utrecht and Amsterdam and since 2018 Eindhoven as well. All cities are equipped with their own City Coordinator and team of volunteers as Female Ventures was and still is a nonprofit initiative.

The Female Ventures community is generally between 20 – 50 years of age, highly educated, with 50% international women who have either studied or are building a career in the Netherlands. The majority of our members is 25 – 35 years of age and can be seen as upcoming talents in tech and leadership positions. They either have their own startup, work in an SME, corporate, work as an independent consultant or are studying and preparing for initial career steps.

Female Ventures supports diversity in leadership positions and tech environments. We create awareness for taking ambitious and impactful career steps by bringing women together, offering inspiration, new connections and education. Listen to inspiring role models, connect to peers and mentors, share challenges both online and offline and follow our fun and educational workshops.
