Female Ventures

We empower women in business

Hi subscriber,

With this Spring newsletter we want to reconnect with you and offer some inspiration and connection between you as members of our amazing community. During COVID-19 we were able to quickly adapt to new circumstances and changed from organizing physical events to 100% digital offerings. And new initiatives are still evolving. What a resilient and creative group of volunteers we have !
Looking forward to meet you during one of our next events, Mimi & Dieuwke.

What about me? Strengthen your mental resilience

Extra-ordinary times ask for leadership on your part; whether you are in a formal leadership role or working as a professional in remote mode. Many of us naturally take care of others before we think to take care of ourselves.
While we currently can’t organize physical events for our community, we have set up digital programming. These include online community building efforts and meetups.
One such effort, we cooperate closely with Woosh5 who have developed a 13 weeks program called Woosh5 Female Leadership.
  • If you want to strengthen your mental resilience and follow an individual program with weekly activities, check out the program for more information.
  • Not sure, why female leadership? Learn more about female potential and why our economy needs us.

Inspiring stories - Maja Rudinac

During one of our meetups at Delft in 2017, we had the opportunity to listen to Maja Rudinac, an award-winning alumni from Delft University and founder of Robot Care Systems. We listened to Maja her story, discussed and supported her with tips and advice from the audience. A woman in tech with an ambitious focus on her future. What inspired us most was her vision towards women not holding back on career opportunities and her advice;
thrive, thrive wherever and whenever you can!
Since then, a lot has happened with Maja and her company. Annet Veenstra gives us an update on Maja. We are sure that Maja will come back to our meetups and share her story.

Members' blogs

May Musk (the mother of…) tells us a story of how you can be successful and how you can make bold moves… despite being a female, despite having to take care of a family, despite being divorced. May’s book ‘A women makes a plan’ inspired Dieuwke Hoogland, initiator of Female Ventures, to write her latest blog entry. Read it here
